Rebecca (“Bex”) Groebner, DAc, LAc is a Doctor of Acupuncture licensed through the Oregon Medical Board and certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and OM. In addition to being the mama of two amazing boys and running The Local Healer, she teaches healthcare providers through the Acupuncture Relief Project and has taught at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine and the National University of Natural Medicine since 2015. She has over 14 years of experience using acupuncture and Traditional Asian Medicine to address pain conditions, stroke rehabilitation, neurological disorders, musculoskeletal issues, mental and emotional dysregulation, labor and the postpartum, menopausal transition and gynecological imbalances, amongst other things.
Bex is a fourth-generation Bohemian (Czech) American and grew up in a US military family. Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, she spent ten years as a chef and also worked as a case manager and legal advocate for a domestic violence shelter in Vancouver, WA. She has a Bachelors degree in Physics, loves to to do yoga, Taiji and run, write, knit, ride her motorcycle and be close to water. She might have been an octopus in a past life.
