During the time I’m out of the clinic for 2024 (10/21 - 12/26), I want to ensure you can get acupuncture and bodywork from a provider who accepts your insurance, has space within a week of booking, and is someone I personally trust. My recommendations are below. At the end of this list, I’ve got a list of insurance companies, so you can check yours to see which provider here is in-network.

Dr. Haosheng Zhang

Haosheng Acupuncture - 4160 SE Division Street: 503-238-0606

Dr. Zhang is a little farther out, on SE Division, but if you’re nearby, this might be a great option! He trained in China, working as an internist in hospitals, and has significant experience treating serious health conditions. If you’re seeking herbal consults, I highly recommend Dr. Zhang—he was my herbal teacher at NUNM in the early 2000s and is an excellent acupuncturist as well

Tara Gregory

Dynamic Acupuncture - 1829 NE Alberta St. Suite A: 503-208-3397
Tara is a wonderful choice if you’re focused on women’s health, fertility, pregnancy, or postpartum care. She has post-graduate training in Chinese hospitals and has also volunteered with the Acupuncture Relief Project in Nepal (where I’ll be working)!

Judy Myong DeHoogh

Judy Myong Acupuncture/Black Pearl Wellness 505 NW 9th Ave

Judy specializes in women’s health, chronic and acute pain, headaches, hormonal balance, gastrointestinal support, and mental-emotional health. She identifies as an Asian practitioner and is passionate about making acupuncture and East Asian medicine accessible to Black, Brown, Asian-Pacific Islander, Indigenous, and LGBTQIA communities.

Felicia Ferruzza

Alberta Healing Arts - 6533 NE Sandy Blvd: 503-206-5309

Felicia is a neighbor and dear friend who can accept your Oregon Health Plan insurance and specializes in family health, women’s health, pregnancy, labor, and postpartum care. She is a Western-trained herbalist who grows and wild-crafts many of the herbs used in her family’s integrative health clinic and herbal medicinary.

Zócalo Wellness - 1836 NE 7th Ave. Suite 109: 503-383-9555

Zócalo, founded by my classmate and friend Adrianna Locke, can accept your Oregon Health Plan and is a culturally inclusive healing space offering both individual acupuncture treatments and affordable community-style acupuncture. While Adrianna isn’t accepting patients currently, her team is available, and I highly recommend them for their focus on cultural inclusivity and shared healing spaces
